Outfit of the day - spring time

Good morning ladies. So todays outfit post, is actually the outfit I was wearing yesterday. But since I took a day off from the blog yesterday, it's going live a day late. Sometimes you just have to listen to your gut, and it was telling me to go to the beach yesterday, to catch up on some reading. Which was what I did for a few hours, until I had to come back to reality and go to work.

Skirt New Yorker. Top H&M. Cardigan Tally Weijl. Heels Deichmann.

So this was my look for the beach. I really wanted to get a bit of color to my pale legs, therefor I had on a skirt for the first time this year - without tights at least. Since there always is a bit of wind by the beach, I had on this gorgeous cardigan that I bought in Prauge. It has a bit of bohemian style to it, which is normally not my style, but I really like this one. I paired it up with a pair of wedges, to spice it up a bit, but still be casual enough for the beach.
Then I decided to do a few curls in my hair, just for a more beachy vibe ;)

Taking the day off

Hello beautiful readers. So todays post will properly be a little short. Cause I will spend the most of the day outside, enjoying the beautiful weather we have in Copenhagen. Especially because they promised rain and cloudy weather again from tomorrow. So I have to enjoy it while I can. I'm so lucky that I live only five minutes away from one of the best beaches we have in Copenhagen, so it is here I plan on spending some hours today - and a lot of hours during the summer time!
Later today I'm going to work, and I have been working on a few blog posts for the next few days. So I have done a bit of work today, and will do a lot of non-blog related work later, so I think it's time to take a couple of hours off, to relax and get ready for nine hours of work later. Hope you are all enjoying your day as well!

Skin care routine

Hi, my beautiful readers. How are you today? Here in Copenhagen, the nice spring weather is finally coming around. Today is my day off from work, so I went to the beach with my blanket, and read a few pages in my book, while enjoying the sun. In Denmark you never know when the sun is going to disappear, so you have to enjoy it while you can. As much as I love the sun and the nice weather, I must admit that it makes me a little lazy. Which is also why this post is coming up a little later than I planned. I simply enjoyed my little time at the beach too much.

Today I want to share my skin care routine with you guys. I never had really bad skin. A few blackheads and spots here and there, but I think I've been pretty lucky throughout my teenage years. I have fewer spots now, but there are still some that once in a while like to peep though - which I'm not a fan of.
My skin type is normal to oily, and this is just what is working for me, to keep my skin under control.

I use these products everyday - except for the two scrubs, that I only use a few times a week.

So if I have been wearing makeup on the given day, I always use makeup wipes, to remove the makeup. I tried normaly makeup remover a couple of times, but it's just not my thing.. I've been using these makeup wipes from Rival de Loop for the last few months, and it is the best brand of makeup wipes I have even used. They change the scent of the wipes every two month or so, and this time it's with sweet melon scent.

After removing my makeup, I use this soap from Lush. I know it looks more like a piece of bread than a soap, but it's a really good face soap, that the lady at the store recommended for oily skin. I use this every morning and evening, and so far I really love it.

And then a few times a week, I use this face scrub for the brand today, which is a German brand. If my face don't have that many blackheads, I'm using this scrub, since it's a little lighter than the one below, which is from Ole Henriksens line. I really love Oles beauty line, and this scrub is my second container I believe. I use this when I have more breakouts than normally, since I feel like this scrub will beat them all.

When I was in Prague, I also got this little lip scrub from Lush, which smells like bubblegum, if you couldn't guess. I've heard so much about this little guy, so I had to try it, and I'm not disappointed. Of course it smells incredible, but it also removes all of the dead skin from your lips, and leave them so smooth.

Lastly I will moisturize my face, and I have been using this one from L'oreal for a little year now. This is my second container as well. This face cream is made for younger women, compared to a lot of other skin creams, that are made for the age of 40+. It's a light face cream, so it will absorb pretty quickly in the skin. I certainly noticed a difference in my skin. And to go with the face cream, I'm also using the eye cream from the same line.

And this pretty much sums up my skin care routine. Hope you like it!

Healthy snacks #3

Hello, beautiful. Hope you are all having a great start to the new week. I actually don't have any special plans this week, besides work. It's kinda sad going from a week with a lovely trip to Prague, to a week without any plans. But I will hopefully find something else to do, so it's not just work and more work.
Do you have any plans for this week?

So yesterday I shared my recipe on peanut butter cups with you, and today I have another snack post. I'm not quite sure what to call these little balls.. Chocolate oatmeal truffelts? Peanut butter chocolate balls? I don't know. So I didn't name them. But I still want to share this lovely recipe with you.
They are really easy to make, and taste delicious. I (almost) always have an airtight container with these in the fridge, since they are a really good alternative for when the sugar cravings are too strong to ignore.

What you will need is:
  • 2 dl of oatmeal
  • 1 dl peanut butter - I use creamy, but you can use the crunchy kind if you like
  • 1 dl honey
  • 3 tablespoons of cacao powder
  • A sprinkle of raw licorice powder
  • Shredded coconut
Mix all of the ingredients (except the coconut) in a bowl. It takes a little while to get everything mixed well, but be patient. When everything is mixed well, roll the dough into little bite size balls, roll them in the shredded coconut and place them in an airtight container in the fridge, to let them harden a bit. And after an hour or so, they are ready to eat.

Healthy alternatives: peanut butter cups

Good morning ladies, and welcome to a new day. And the last one of the week.
Last month I made a few posts, called "healthy snacks" and I thought I would continue with that kind of posts, since they seems to be really popular. Today I made my own twist on the lovely peanut butter cup. It's properly not in the healthy category, but compared to a regular peanut butter cup, I think you will save a few calories here. They are really easy to make, and you only need a few ingredients.

You will need:
  • A mini cupcake pan
  • 100 g. of dark chocolate
  • A few slices of banana
  • Peanut butter
Start cutting your banana in bite sizes. I only made six peanut butter cups, so I only needed six slices of banana. Then melt you chocolate. Put a small dot of chocolate in each cup, then a slice of banana, then a dot of peanut butter and top it of with more chocolate. Enough to cover everything with chocolate.
Put it in the freezer for at least an hour, so everything can harden and they are ready to eat.

They will melt quite fast, so keep them in the fridge, until you will eat them. I keep mine in an airtight container, so they wont absorb the water in the fridge.
If you are not a big fan of banana, you can of course skip them and maybe add more of the peanut butter. I just think they give a nice twist to the peanut butter cups, and make them more creamy and delicious.
Tomorrow I have another healthy snack, so stay tuned for that ;)

Dungarees - dressed up and down

Good morning! So I've been looking for a good pair of overalls for ages. They are not hard to find, but it's hard to find a pair that I like. Finally I found these ones in Tally Weijl, and of course I had to get them then. Also it wont be long until the festival season will be here, and I think that a pair of these, will be perfect for a music festival.
Today I have styled them two different ways. A very casual one, and a little more stylish one. However both outfit is everyday appropriate.

Dungarees Tally Weijl. T-shirt H&M. Shoes New Yorker.

Here I paired them with this plain white t-shirt. It gives it a really casual look, even if you put a pair of heels on. I chose these flats (a Vans look-a-like) since they are really comfortable to walk in.
I'm hoping to go to a one-day festival here in Copenhagen, and then I would wear something like this to it. I never been fan of the music festivals, that runs over a few days. I need to go home, take a shower and sleep in my own bed. Anyone else feeling like that??

T-shirt H&M. Heels Bianco.

Even though I didn't change much here, I still think it has a very different vibe to the look. All black is just more fancy, so this outfit could also do for a night out in the town. The lace really stands out on bare legs, which is one of the main reasons that I wanted this pair. You can of course dress it even more up, with the right jewelry.

Small things

Hello beauties. So I'm home again from Prague, and what a beautiful trip. I've been to Prague once before, and I don't think I will ever get tired of this city. It's so beautiful!
I'm sorry that it didn't really worked with the posts during my vacation. I don't know how, but all of the posts I made, looked like they all were posted on friday. Which they weren't. But then I gave up, and just wanted to continue when I got back home again. So here I am!

Today I have a really light post for you. A few peeks into my everyday, with these small things.

My boyfriend and I stayed at a four star hotel in Prague. And it was so lovely - however their breakfast buffet, was not anything fancy. So I was so excited to get home, and cook my own breakfast again. these pancakes, a lot of fruit and a good cup of coffee.

Working at a hotel, we often get a lot of left overs from the meetings during the day. Today it was these fancy little cupcakes, which tasted amazing!

And then my favorite things from my trip to Prague, in one picture. When we got to CPH airport, I bought this cover. I love Malene Birger, so I had to get this beautiful cover. In Prague we went to a lovely chocolate store, but they also had macarons, which is one of my favorite sweets. So I had to get a little box. And then I got this beautiful ring from Swarovski. We were looking at the store and I found this ring that I really wanted, but I wanted to wait a day or two before I bought it. But when I finally decided to buy it, he said that he wanted to buy it for me. He's a keeper! ;)

Outfits of Prague

Hello, beautiful girls.

I don't really know why, but the blog is playing with me. So far the two last posts ser set as dated the 10 of april. However I'm uploading this on sunday the 12. Hm.. Technical problems..

I'm in Prague! The weather is beautiful here, especially compared to the weather in Copenhagen. It's nice to feel some true spring weather. We haven't really been around the city much yet, since we were a little tired yesterday and just walked a little around the city. But today we will start the journey!
The only think I don't like about traveling, is the packing. I'm not very good at planning my outfits for days in advance, and therefor I tend to over pack. A lot. But this time I think I manage to do a good job. And everything could fit in a carry-on suitcase.

Day one.

Dress H&M. Jacket Creme Fraiche. Wedges Deichmann.
(Awkward try-not-to-laugh face)
As I mentioned yesterday, I love wearing dresses, since it's the clothing piece I found most comfortable. Therefor I brought two dresses (plus the one I was wearing on the plane) on my trip. The first one, is a simple dress from H&M, but in a very bold blue color, which I find perfect for spring.
I paired it up with my light jacket, just in case I would get a little chilly during the day. I really think that the nude and blue goes great together.
And since it's the first day, my feet are not tired yet, so I can wear my wedges with this outfit.

Day two.

Dress H&M. Jacket Creme Fraiche. Shoes Primark. Bag Primark.

And dress number two. Today it's shopping day! Therefor I brought my big bag, so I don't need to carry to many plastic bags, hehe.
Todays dress is also a ready casual dress, which is also from H&M. I think they have some amazing basic pieces there, so I have a lot of these kinda dresses. Like the day before, I'm also bringing my jacket, since you never know when it's going to be a little cold. I have my flat shoes on today. By this time, I walked around in wedges for two days, so now my feet need a little break.

Day three.

Shirt, shoes and bag Primark. Jeans Tally Weijl.

Today is our last day, but since we are not leaving until the evening, we still have some sightseeing to do. And for sightseeing, I also want to wear flats, since you don't know how much you will end up walking.
As we are going home later, I wear a loose shirt, since I don't want to wear anything to tight on our way home. I also brought this cute little bag with me, to carry all my necessities as my wallet, phone, camera and of course the key to the hotel.

So this will be all my outfits for Prauge. I still think it's a challenge to pre pick your outfits, but as long as the weather will stick to the schedule, I think I will be oay with these three outfits.
Do you also pre pick your outfits, or do you just bring a bit of everything with you?

Outfit of the day - on a jet plane

Good morning, girls. Today is the day. I'm going to Prague! Actually, when you are reading this, I'm properly already in Prague. Our plane leaves way to early - we have to be at the airport by seven in the morning, which means we have to leave home around six - I'm already tired, just thinking about it.
But it will be worth it, when we get there, and we have a lot of time during the rest of the day.

But since I will be gone for a few days, my blog posts will be pre written. I just thought I would put it out there. I don't think I will have time to write a new blog post everyday, since we hope to go see a lot of things, while we are gone. But the blog will go on, and I hope that I can manage to post a post everyday. If I miss one, please forgive me. But I am on vacation ;)

Today I would share my outfit for the day with you. Since we are going to fly (not a long flight though, only a little over an hour) I wanted to wear something casual and comfy. And a dress is really comfy to me, since you don't have any jeans squeezing your stomach.

Dress Tally Weijl. Blazer Primark. Shoes Deichmann. Bag Primark.

I'm trying to fit all of my clothes into a little carry-on suitcase, which is why I wear my wedges on the plane. Because I gotta have some kind of nice shoe with me, in case we want to go out and eat a little more fancy. But I chose wedges, since you never know how long you need to walk, and heels can just be to painfull.

I always think it's quite hard to find the right outfit for the plane, cause sometimes it's too hot, and sometimes it's too cold, so I wanted to wear some kind of layering. Therefor I went with this light blazer, which I will also use as a jacket in Prague (it should be a little warmer down there, so I don't need to bring a propper jacket)
And I took my bigger handbag with me, so I can fit all of those things, I don't want in the suitcase - for example iPad and camera.

So now I'm ready to go to the airport. See you soon!

Top 3 - chick flicks

Happy friday, everyone. Do you have any special weekend plans?
As I've talked about before, me and my boyfriend are going to Prague tomorrow, going home on Tuesday, so just a long weekend. It will be our first trip together, so I'm super excited, and can't wait to go back to beautiful Prague again. Have you been there before? What do you think is the most important thing to see?

So this weekend I wont be home. But normally I would set a side one day, just to relax and chill for a bit. Here I normally watch a great movie, and lately I've watched a lot of chick flicks! So today I took my top three of chick flick movies to share with you, if you maybe do as I, and take a day out of your weekend to relax with some good movies.

My number one favorite chick flick movie, is (I feel like saying of course) Sex and the City. I love the tv show and have watched all the episodes too many times (if there is such thing as to many times) and I never get tired of either the show or the movie. But I must admit, that I was not the biggest fan of the second movie they made. They should have stopped after the first one.

But to me, this movie has it all. It has humor, it has friendship, it has love. And it has fashion! One of the most important things about this movie; all of Carrie Bradshaws gorgeous outfits.
In this movie, we get a final ending on the drama between Carrie and Mr. Big. They ended up together in the last episode on the show, but of course Mr. Big gets cold feet on their wedding day. This is the story about how they found each other again. And it never gets old!

And as you can see, I'm a fan of Kate Hudson. I cannot count how many times I have watched How to Lose a Guy in 10 days. I love this movie so much, and I love the two actors together. Everything in this movie is just perfection. Even aften 12 years.
To those of you, who don't know this movie, it's about this girl Annie, who is a reporter on a womens magazine. Here she have to write an "how to" article, and she ends up with the "how to lose a guy in 10 days" title. Then she finds this guy Ben, that she wants to use for her article - but what she don't know, is that Ben, who works for advertising, made a bet with his boss, if he could make a girl fall in love with him in 10 days, or not.
They both find out about the other ones start to their relationships, and breaks up. But you can of course guess how it all ends. May sounds tacky, but it's a lovely movie.

As the last one, I chose Bride Wars. Also a movie, that I cannot count how many times I've watched.
This is the story about two best friends, who get's engaged at the same time, and want to be married the same year, at the same place. A mix up happens, and they are booked for the same day. And then the drama happens.
It's a really sweet movie about friendship, and the fact that you need to have good friends and family behind you.

What is your favorite chick flick?

Yet another spring jacket

Good morning, beautiful. How are you today? Right now, I'm just sitting here in front of the computer, eating my breakfast before I hit the gym for my morning workout. To be honest, I don't really want to go today, but I know I will regret it if I don't.
What do you guys do for motivation on days like that?

Some of you may remember this or this blog post, where I talked about my take on some amazing spring jackets. And guess what, I found another one.
I was visiting my parents in Germany a few weeks ago, and every time I go to Germany, I tend to shop. A lot. Especially in Primark, which has become one of my favorite stores. It's cheap, but you can still find some nice clothes, shoes and accessories. This time I found this gorgeous fake leather jacket for only 9 euro. Which is a crazy low price, for a nice jacket, if you ask me.

Jacket Primark. Dress H&M.

When I chose my coats and jackets, I always reach for the black ones first. And it was actually the same with this jacket. Luckily the black one wasn't in my size, and I therefor went with the nude one instead. Which I'm really happy about now. Since I wear black and white to work everyday, I really wanna try to use colors (and yes, I say nude and beige is a color) more often, when I'm off work. And this jacket certainly helps with that.
No more black jackets for spring!

My boyfriend and I are taking our first trip together on saturday, going to Prague for four days, and I'm definitely bringing this jacket with me, since I think it can come in handy on both warm and colder days.

It is quite a short jacket, so it will not keep your lower back and booty warm, but since I'm planning on using this as a spring jacket, it wont be a problem. However it's also a thick jacket, so if you want to use it for fall, you can wear a long cardigan underneath, and it will properly do the job.
But no matter what you will use it for, this jacket is definitely worth the 9 euro!

Outfit of the day: white oversize

Good morning, beautiful readers. I'm so sorry that it's been a while since I last made a blog post. I've really missed blogging, but lately I can't seem to keep up with time. It's still really new for me to have a boyfriend, since my last relationship is almost three years ago, and I have to find a good balance between my lovely man, my job, my trips to the gym, my girls and then my blog. And blogging actually takes up a lot of your time, even though some might not think that.
But I'm trying to make a good schedule, and set a site more time for blogging, so hopefully we wont have so many days without a blog post.

Anyway. I'm here. I'm back. And I'm ready to blog again.
Yesterday I went to the movies with my boyfriend. As so many other men, he was so excited for the new fast and furious movie, so I went as the supportive girlfriend. I'm not really a big fan of the films, and I've only seen two out of the last six movies. But I really wanted to see how they finish this movie, since one of the main casts (Paul Walker) died in the making of the movie. But with a little help from his two brothers, unused scenes from old movies and the wonder of photoshop, they actually did a really nice job.

Since it is quite a casual movie, I went with a really casual outfit. Just a dress and a oversize blazer. But I had to put on some nice heels, just to style it up a tiny bit.
The weather is finally starting to come around here in Copenhagen, so this blazer was all I needed as a jacket. I'm really new into the whole blazer thing, since I always been a "cardigan girl", but I'm starting to warm up to the feeling of a blazer and this oversized one, is just so nice a snugglely (is that even a word??)

Blazer Zara. Dress H&M. Heels Malene Birger.

I hope all of you had a lovely easter, and I promise I will keep up with the blogging! :)

My hair care tips

Hello ladies. Did you survive the first of April yesterday? I must admit that it's not my favorite day of the year, I don't trust anyone that day ;)

So today I thought we could talk a little about hair. Personally, my hair is my everything. I have quite long and healthy hair now, but I also take as much care of it, as I can.
When I was younger, I used to color my hair all the time. And blowdry it. And straighten it with a flat iron. And my hair was certainly not a fan of that. All my ends where split and dry. And when it comes to that point, there is almost no return; you have to cut it. And so I did. And it toke me many years to grow it out again. Therefor I now know how important it is to take care of your hair, and I want to share some of my tips with you.

Keep in mind that this might not work for you, doesn't sound like something you would do or you may just disagree, but this is just what worked for my thoughout the years.

  • Get a fresh start. How long has it been since you were visiting the hairdresser? The first step to get healthy hair, is to cut all of the dry and bad hair off. You may heard that it will make your hair grow faster, which is actually a liar. But it will seems like your hair is growing faster. When the ends of your hair is split and dry, it will break off faster. If it's healthy, it wont break as easily. And therefor it can look like your hair is growing faster.
  • Eat right. You can actually say that we are what we eat. Because it has an effect on our hair, nails and even our skin. If you eat right and drink a lot of water, your hair will start to look healthier.
  • Use the right shampoo. It's no science. If you have colored hair, use a shampoo for colored hair. If you have dry hair, use a shampoo for that. If you want more volume in your hair, use a shampoo for that - you get the point.
  • Dry it right. I think a lot of girls, like to walk around with their wet hair in a towel. But the towel is actually really damaging for your hair. Instead use a cotton t-shirt or one of these.
  • Use the right brush. Many of us, uses a brush, that pulls out most of the hairs. Which non of us like. Try with a tangle teezer instead. These are very gentle on the hair. I saw a big different after only a few weeks using one of these.
  • Put it up! Then you have long hair, and you let it hang loose, it rubs against your bag all day long, which is really tuff on the hair. When I'm at work, I always wear my hair in a braid. This will protect your hair from damaging.

  • No color. Let's be honest. We all know that it's not healthy for the hair, when you put a lot of chemicals in it, to change the color. If you really want to have a different color, then try to stick with a tone similar to the one that you have. Don't go from blond to black..
  • Protect it. It's almost impossible not to blowdry or use a heating tool on your hair. So when you do, remember to use a heat protecting spray.
  • Use a hair mask. I use a hair mask 1-2 times a week. I use conditioner in my hair every single time I'm in the shower, and a conditioner is not a hair mask. And when you use a conditioner and a hair mask, only use it in the length of your hair. It will look really oily, if you use it in the roots.
  • Use hair oil. I always put some hair oil in my hair, when I'm done styling it. It will just keep the hair soft and smooth. But it's the same rule as with the conditioner and the mask, only use it in the ends.

This is some of my favorite hair products. First my Tangle teezer, that I use to brush my hair with. Next is a lifesaver, the coconut oil - I will write a post later, on all the things you can use coconut oil for, but here I will just tell you about the way you can use it in your hair. I normally use this as my hair mask. So before I go to bed, I put the oil in the ends off my hair. I use about a big teespoon, and it's enough for my long hair. Then I let it sit over night, and wash it out the next day, as I normally would wash my hair. Sometimes I also use a little bit as a normal hair oil, but then you don't need more than a pea size, so it won't look greasy. I also included two other hairpoils here: one from Elvital and a small one from Macadamia. These I use after I'm done with the styling of my hair, and I use them everyday. It will just make the hair look more smooth and soft.

Lastly I have a heat protecting spray from TREsemmé, and it's really important that you use a heat spray before using any hot tools on your hair. Of course it would be better if you just minimize the use of hot tools, but the spray will just protect it a little better.
And then my dry shampoo from Batiste. I've been showering everyday for many years, eventhough I know it's not that good for your hair. Therefor I'm trying to cut back a little, and here the dry shampoo really come in handy. SO I try to only wash my hair every other day, and the day where I don't wash it, I will use the dry shampoo, so my hair don't look greasy though the day.

So this is pretty much all of my hair care tips and hair routines. I hope some of the tips, will help a few of you.
